misconceptions -
Complaining about the AH and that they didn't want to buy a recipe on AH, they wanted to know where to get the drop. AH is overpriced. But then the same person complained that his stuff wasn't selling on the AH.
We got a good review on iTunes! and an email from Auho
Hey guys I was listening to your latest podcast and I just wanted to mention another way to find resources about World of Warcraft. There is a mod called Lightheaded which takes the comments from wowhead and lets you read them in game from your quest log. (Here is the link http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7017-LightHeaded.html ). Thank you for doing such a fun show keep up the good work.

Great Podcasts. guys.. just listened to Eps.30 and the refeance to Barrens chat made me think ... have you heard the podcast (old style radio show) The Chalice of Silvermoon. http://www.wcradio.com/shows.php?selectShow=71 . Man is it Funny. the one with Barrens chat is Eps. 29... on the floor, curled in a ball with laughter.
A little back ground... I have been playing WoW since beta.. My wife also plays.. I have 1 lvl 64 Hunter, she has 2 70's...she is not an alt person. We have been play computer games since the late 80's.. Yes we are older gamers... i just had B-day and turned 50..

Glanthur
- Haven't been playing my Alliance alts at all. I'm thinking about moving over Arlaerus and Glanthur to Earthen Ring so I can be on the same server. BEs are mean and nasty - very bitter. But, oh so pretty and I love the game art surrounding them.
- Currently level 23, and have a succubus (coolest minion ever!)
- Feel good about Horde now. I like double-dipping
- Not too sure if enchanting is all it's cracked up to be. I'm guessing it only really pays off at the highest levels.
Game play
Auntrillia is level 59 and she got to Outland and saw it and said, this is good. But she has all these quests in "Vanilla WoW" and she wants to finish them. There are two schools of thought on this subject:
Reputation...is it really that important? I've been playing for a while now, and I know you can get mounts from other factions with exalted rank, but what else is it in for you to get such a high level or reputation?
Thanks to for reminding me to put up show notes!

- Leveling crafts - there's something almost hypnotic about it. I keep thinking of that game that was played on ST TNG, the one Riker brought back from Risa that rewarded the player when they got a ball in a hole.
- Treshel is leveling alchemy
- Rilfire is leveling LW - She got to Thrallmar
- Getting caught up on making a particular item. Veyle, the BS, is basically a tool
- BFD
- SFK
- RFK
- Did a silly thing. After doing all the quest we had

- You've been to Outland, you've seen the quests out there, they award more xp and more gold. Abandon the legacy quests you have and seek your fortune in Outland
- Play all the content you can, so what if you don't get as much xp and gold. You pay to play a game, isn't it more important to have fun
Reputation...is it really that important? I've been playing for a while now, and I know you can get mounts from other factions with exalted rank, but what else is it in for you to get such a high level or reputation?

Hi Aprillian,
Love the podcast. I've been playing for 1.5 years now and I think I'm getting burned out with the game. I have several 70s on each faction and only log on to play them once in a while. I'm not sure how long you've been playing so my question is why do you still play? What keeps the game interesting for you? If you've only been playing for a few months then the game is fairly new. I've noticed that your highest character is 59 or 60 so you still have a ton of content to explore and experience.
My problem is that once I hit 70 (several times now) I do the same basic routine: get keyed for Karazhan, run multiple instances to get better gear, etc. But what happens when you're done with Karazhan? Of course you go to the next upper tier raid content. It just seems that once you reach the level cap all you do is try to get better gear, which takes a considerable amount of time and effort. It's a long and tough grind to do it.
I really do love this game but it just seems like once I start another alt I'm basically doing the same thing over and over again. Maybe I just need a break from the game and wait for the next expansion.
If I do quit, I will continue to listen to the multiple WoW podcast I subscribe to to keep me well informed while I'm on my WoW hiatus.
Keep up the great work,
Akabeko - Kul'Tiras (US) Server.
Aprillian's Response:
I consider myself a career gamer. I've been looking for a game that could hold my attention. I've been playing WoW since October 22, 2005 and I have yet to be bored. And yes, I do not have a character higher than 59. I've been enjoying myself. Several times I've had invites to join people who were doing the fast track, and it's never appealled to me. It's a lot like eating through a cake just to say you finished. But you've already done that, so let's focus on your choices: (Hope that didn't sound harsh)
- Start a Twink - I know we hate them in BG but there will always be Twinks and as the old saying goes, if you can't beat 'em join 'em
- Try Dual Boxing, if you can afford it. If you can't get two computers, most will be fast enough to run two WoW Clients at once. If you can't get another account, consider alternating leveling alts and getting two or three going at the same time. Work out a balance, make two gatherers, i.e. miner/skinner herbalist/miner or enchanter; then make one or two just for producing Blacksmith/Engineer or Leatherworking/Tailor and challenge yourself to make it with your own or almost all of your own materials.
- Find a really cool guild or start your own and have Events
- Or you could stop playing for a while and wait for the next expansion or big patch
- Or Start a podcast about WoW, oh boy!
- Or you can just say you won and move on
2nd Letter
Hi again,
I thought I'd send a few comments about your last podcast. First, I'm almost 99% positive the anvil/molten station by the TM wagon/seller has not always been there. It must have been put in the last few weeks. Second, I found your guest interesting. There are lots of different ways to play WoW (not that I have to tell you). Whatever people enjoy is my opinion as it is their money.
Later,
Kurt
