The challenge to follow YouTube instructions is interesting and this time it was confusing because we were looking at different parts of the video. But we finally got it figured out and then got trapped in a box. I’m tempted to go back and look and then comment on the YouTube channel that someone had built a box over the ship. But we got the ship.

New Exotic ship

After a failed attempt trying to find a living frigate I landed in a space where there was some freighters and frigates to buy. After looking at one and it was an S class I noticed something shiny in the hanger deck, and it was a red exotic ball ship. I’m really fallen for these.

I went to a trading Post and decided to try to find another pilot to trade my ball ship that I had decked out and already given to one of my squadron pilots. I had tried before and wasn’t able to add the pilot to my squadron, but this time it worked. And I was able to buy the ship back. Now I’m thinking about doing it again although I have to get my funds back up.I managed to get another one of those cute ball ships

Other

Had some problems playing with some errors popping up on my fancy expensive gaming, PC. I ran an update on the drivers and that fixed it. Seems like you have to do this pretty regularly. Check for updates and update your drivers.

I spent some time while I was publishing last weeks episode going through the Podbean page and click on update for all the episodes that weren’t showing up. It’s very monotonous and involves a lot of just clicking back button scrolling down, clicking back button scrolling down. But I’m going to try to get them all showing. As you can see from the screenshot it says 818 whereas last week it’s at 803. It should actually say 831. but like Vrishna used to say I’m working on it.

Good day Ctrl Alt Wow/No Man’s Sky Crew

Apologies for lack of submissions.. I have been on holiday (vacation) in Ibiza, Spain. Plus I’ve been working quite a lot, so sadly I’ve not had much time to play WoW!

Before I went on holiday it was the ‘Trial of Style’ week.. I won it 3 times, and came 2nd and 3rd a couple of times too, which I was shocked and happy about! I bought lots of new cosmetic transmog items with my winning tokens and I got the title ‘the Fabulous’.

I have collected quite a few new mounts [screens shots attached]. Some include Ur’zul Fleshripper, Mail Muncher, Chrono Corsair, Nesting Swarmite, Magmashell, Underrot Crawg, various Ottuks and Raptors.

I also went a little crazy with the with the PVP Brawl: Comp Stomp battleground (Arathi Basin). I collected lots of old classic PVP sets and weapons!

I also have dinged my fourth level 80 this morning, so making some good progression with my Alt levelling!

Anyway.. hope you are all well?

Ctrl Alt WoW Episode 831 - Super Charged Slots, What Art Though For

I changed the character I mentioned last show that I transferred from EU to OCE, from Viera to Au ra and renamed her to Kranse Kage, a Danish marzipan based cake-like thing. And since its main ingredient is marzipan, I named her Chocobo Marcipan.

Glams:

Not sure about the shoes, either the first or the second. The first ones are the proper set shoes, the others are my alternate choice.

No Man’s Sky:

Finally figured out how to get Sentinel ships.

Looking forward to grinding some nice designs.

Guaranteed damage free frigate missions:

Make sure you stay TWO stars above the provided rating of the frigate mission.

Upgrades:

Make sure you supercharge the Reality De-threader and Expedition Speed module in your Freighter tech setup. The first adds 200ly to the range (+1000ly vs 800 uncharged) of your freighter’s range, and the second reduces your frigate’s mission duration by 44% (+15% uncharged)

Starship damage loadout with three supercharged slots (A-Class):

And after the upgrade to S-Class with four supercharged slots:

The Damage Potential stat didn’t change, but I got more than 7,000 DPS more out of the main weapon.

Got my base ship to S-Class.

I went through almost 1000 crystallized helium upgrading various businesses in my settlements. I figured it would be the fastest way to get them to make money and be profitable. My autophage settlement was losing money handover fist so I decided to jump my freighter to a purple system so I can also gather different gases. But when I went to drop my freighter I got this error: RESONANCE MATRIX REQUIRED! Which made me realize I hadn’t finished adding all the necessary materials to my resonance matrix so I had to go out and farm some more Atlantideum and Quartzite

Ships

I decided to archive some of my ships because I wanted to go looking for other ships to take apart. I did forget to take some things out of inventory before archived.

Then I decided that I wanted to get all of my S class ships ready to be used at any moment.

I bought a bunch of wiring looms and then I had to get out my starter dough of Emeril and Cadmium

and then go to an Atlantium planet to get that stuff and radiant shards. Some of it I did VR and some

I did on my laptop. I love that convenience of NMS.

Debriefing Bug in VR

I ended up losing a ship that I built because I tried to trade it to a pilot and then recruit the pilot. The pilot never went to the ship after I traded it and it was just there for me to buy. I was waiting for a pilot to take over but instead, it went up into the ceiling and I couldn’t reach it.

The next day I thought that maybe my Alt could buy the ship once I traded it so I tried it with the squid ship and the pilot went over to the ship after I traded it, and I was able to hire him to be in my squadron. It was a shame because the squid ship was really decked out with everything.

So then, I thought it had to be a ship by created so I made a really good ship.

Grand Nagus helped me take down a freighter

I got an upgrade for my freighter and a Pirate pilot for my Frigate!

Ctrl Alt WoW Episode 830 - You Get a Squid Ship, Everybody Gets a Squid Ship

No Man’s Sky

So exciting I finally got to the end of auto phage quest line. I’m gonna spoil it because it oh dang you don’t want to be spoiled then maybe skip to the end I’ll put timestamp. Of course, most of the quest for the auto page are on planet with Sentinels so I’ve been doing a lot of fighting. I’ve also been using the trick I learned from Grand Nagus which was to barrel under and tunnel through the ground to hide from them until the alert goes away. I’m ending up with a lot of silica powder.

I’m getting better at fighting freighters.

I’ve been expanding my freighter. I really love the way it looks.

Greetings CAW Crew,
Apologies for the lack of an audio this episode, it's been a hectic couple of weeks and not much actual gaming has taken place. I have finished the first chapter of Living World 4 of Guild Wars 2 which is the mini expansion after Path of Fire.
Essentially, having killed a God (Balthazar) that energy from his death has been absorbed by one elder dragon and your ally dragon called Aurene which is the problem with killing dragons and gods.
There's this new baddie called Joko which turns people into his minions and calls them The Awakened. At the end of Chapter 1 you're trying to stop his army and end up having to attack Taimi's Golem as she's trapped inside it. Quite a fight with mechanics having to interrupt electrical storms to take down the golem shields every 25 percent. Tricky with some jumping around but good fun.
The new expansion for GW2 was been announced called Visions of Eternity. There are some new elite specializations announced for each class and more like a big expansion released in parts rather than Living World mini expansions. I'm a very long way off that content so haven't read into it too much. The pre-order for that expansion is just £21.99 and is out at end of October so will grab it in the next week or so.

Ctrl Alt WoW Episode 829 - Putting The Alt Back in Ctrl Alt WoW

OCE M’kolon has started leveling crafting jobs again. Allied Societies.

Working on a space disco themed apartment.

Transferred an old event character to OCE, might as well use her to dye my gear.

Golden Chocobo feathers concept.

YoshiP hinted at more elaborate seasonal events in the future, i wonder if the Moonfire Faire event will be the first of the sort or if it will be the last of the regular ones.

No Man’s Sky:

Saving Freighter tokens to unlock some critical tech on the ship before continuing with unlocking more furniture and building modules. Currently I'm at 8, and I think I need around 15 or 20.

Refining tip: To multiply Di-hydrogen, refine Di-hydrogen -> Di-hydrogen Jelly at 1:40 and then the jelly back to Di-hydrogen at a rate of 30:1. Do that in a loop and each loop of a full stack of 20 jelly will give you an overflow amount of 200 Di-hydrogen.

You don’t need a medium or large refiner to do that though.

The first four grow rooms are fully planted with 36 plants each.

Started an alt on my other steam account and had to buy no man’s sky again, but it was on sale.

With shopping for a freighter for my new character and thanks to Grand Nagus I was looking for one with the rooms I wanted.

Upgraded to S Class freighter

Went from C to B to A. Each time redoing engine components. Traded B to A and didn’t transfer base. Rebuilt making areas bigger and loving it

Runaway Mold

Found portal from Facebook group. Upgraded scanner to get 50% more. I spent 50,000 nanites upgrading my Solar ship. Then I needed 5,000 for black accent on my new freighter.
