Ctrl Alt WoW Episode 696 - BlizzConline And What We Learned From It.

What We've Been Doing:
9.0.5:
Release in march.
Will give us access to the Wandering Ancient mount just by logging into Retail WoW.
9.1 Chains of Domination:
9.1 PTR should go live once 9.0.5 is up and running, kinda.
New Raid, Sanctum of Domination (10 boss Raid)
New Mythic-only (for now) Mega-Dungeon
New zone as part of the Maw. Korthia, City of Secrets (Suramar-like zone) maybe. That’s what i gather from the concept art i’ve seen with buildings and Venice like bridges.
Flying in the Covenant zones, not in the Maw and likely not in Oribos.
Flying unlocked by doing the Covenant campaign.
Cosmetic Covenant armor independent of armor type. One set fits all.
No more seperate Covenant campaigns. With 9.1 they merge into one with some special moments where the story might fit for players that have chosen one Covenant that is highlighted in one story or another. Extra dialogue or something to that effect. So we are (for the moment) back to one campaign vs multiple like the class campaign or the 9.0 Covenant campaign, more like the War Campaign from BfA, all though there where technically two there too, one for each faction.
“Reverse invasions” as an example it was stated what it would be like to take the Maldraxxi Covenant campaign necropolis into the Maw.
Soulbind / conduit changes:
Empowered conduits
New Soulbind rows
NO new soulbinds (in 9.1).
Additional changes possibly even to Covenant signature abilities.
The Burning Crusade CLASSIC:
Patch 2.4.3 is the template build for the game.
So no pre and post Black Temple versions of Shadowmoon Valley, as sad as that is, i understand that it’s too much work for working with a old game and bring it in 2 different versions and everything that would bring with it.

It was really fun and i’m happy i had the chance to do that
It is all about the community and each individual part is part of the whole that is the community.
I love what the Blizzard community is. As much critique as you might have with things that happen in the games and to the games, the essential aspect, at least for me, is the community.
If my Queen finds her end i’m going to quit Retail WoW!
I’m not going to quit WoW, just not playing a WoW game that doesn’t have my Queen in it (anymore). Yes, she is in old UC and in SoO and all the places from the past, but it’s just not the same, at least not for me.
I hope they wouldn’t kill her dead, but you never know.

Hello everyone!
Sorry that I have not had much time lately to make a blast from the past, school has been busy. We just transitioned from complete online learning to hybrid (half students in building, half learning at home, switch every other day). Now our school is thinking about going totally back in person in March. Scary! Somehow it is now safe for me to have 30 to 40 students in the same room?
I have not had too much exciting WoW time, mostly some leveling of my rogue through Bastion and some ferrying of alts over to Oribos. I feel like Death ferrying my alts across the river Styx in my barge. To play a parody of Eddie Izzard "Come, my alts, it is your time. We go to the Land of the Dead. Come, we will travel across the Maw. Two, please. One and one OAP. What? Are you coming?" And some of my alts go "No! We're going to stay here and manage banks and auction houses".
Hope you are all doing well, and hopefully I'll find a moment to get another Blast from the Past and some exciting WoW time in.
