This week in WoW:
What We've Been Doing:
Leveling profession Alts with Weee buff + “A taste of Victory” easily climb them all to 112 and get the quest to get a foothold on Zandalar + 2 Champions. “A Taste of Victory” Persists through death, the Whee buff does not. Not recommended as Warmode because of griefing with common area raids going through to kill stuff around neutral areas, unless you are on the dominant faction for your server.
Nearly there on Engineering.
Leveling my Gnomes, Seska the Warlock and Sela the Rouge on Zangamarsh.
PvP on low levels is kinda fun.
Eye of the Storm Victory Win the Eye of the Storm battleground.
Storm Glory - While your team holds 4 of the bases in the Eye of the Storm battleground, personally grab the flag and capture it.
Storm Capper - Personally carry and capture the flag in the Eye of the Storm battleground.
Hibub - Zul’jin killed me when i was locked in “Storytime” in the seat of Knowledge! Hibub, Honor is something that you don’t know anything about and i hope the Dark Lady will have a word with you, again, Hibub - Zul’jin
The DMF roller coaster is a new ride to get the WHEEE buff.
Not too much interesting in WoW this week for me. Just some more world quests to get more reputation and dreaming about what class my soon to be Mag'Har Orc and Zandalari Troll will be. I'm thinking the troll will be a priest - being a priest of one of the loa would be a neat role-playing thing. Maybe the Orc will be a warrior. Not sure yet, we'll see!
This week's Blast from the Past comes from episode 361. Enjoy!
Greetings my good friends of the CAW,
Well, it has been many months since my last correspondence. Currently,
my days are filled with furthing my skills. I have learned as much as
possible here in Zandalar regarding mining, and have completed my work
searching for ancient artifacts. I do find the Zandalari have a little
more to teach me about engineering though. Fishing and cooking go hand
in hand here in Zandalar, and I am using the fruits of my fishing to
satisfy my dining needs.
Recently, I was approched with an offer to betray the Dark Lady, and
overthrow her rule. Of course, I refused this heinous suggestion.
However, I do find myself curious as the outcome of the attempt. I
believe I will need to correspond with my good friend, a certain paladin
named Yllie. She finds herself here in Zandalar as well, and is making
herself valuable to the Horde efforts against the Alliance. Once she has
completely ingratiated herself, I will suggest she accepts the offer,
should it be made to her, and search out more details regarding this
coup attempt against the Dark Lady and the Horde.
Recently, my thoughts have turned to old friends and my reputation and
standing with them. I was moved to visit with the astonishingly
intelligent Ogres in the Outlands, whom I knew in my youth. I was able
to spend some time with them, and perform some trifling tasks for them,
and in return their regard grew to be quite exalted. On finishing my
visit with my friends there, I revisited some dear friends in the mist
shrouded lands of Pandaria. I found my services were in need on the
fabled Isle of Thunder, and still visit frequently to help with the
Assault, though it will be some time before my labors are properly
appreciated. It is a failing of mine to desire to be loved and exalted
by all who I have made more than a shallow acquaintance with, excluding
those whose enmity may never be overcome. There are some in Shattrath
City that I avoided upon my recent visit, and some pirates around Booty
Bay that would rather slit my throat than breathe. Unfortunately, my
friendship with the Orcs who fight so unceasingly in the valleys of
Alterac, Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch my never be more than cool
regard, as they do not appreciate my less enthusiastic approach to
slaughtering the Alliance.
Perhaps, in my next correspondence, I will regale you with more tales of
my adventures in far off lands, most especially in the lost city of
Gnomeregan. One thing I can share at this time is that I learned the
making of a most unusual construct in the form of an arachnid, and have
sent on a few for your pleasure. They are quite friendly once awoken,
and will make you fine pets.
I remain, faithful to the Dark Lady and to the Horde,
Each week GrandNagus takes a closer look at some of the most useful World of Warcraft addons out there.
The Greenwall Addon got a update this past week, so if you are that person that doesn’t have a app to auto-update your addons (yet), go get the new version of Greenwall, should you use it.
Addon(s) of the week: MountSpy
Mount Spy tells you what mount a player character is riding and how to get it. Simply click on a mounted player and Mount Spy will give you the details directly in your chat window. If the mount is from an achievement, the achievement is linked for your convenience. It will also tell you if you own that particular mount.
There's a fun and handy "Match Mount" feature: Just click on a mounted player then click "Match Mount", and if you have that mount it will put you on it.
If you don't want to see the mount information every time you select another player, uncheck the "Automatic Mode" checkbox. This switches the addon to only tell you the info when you click the "Mount Info" button.
If you have "Automatic Mode" checked, Mount Spy will continue to function even if its window is closed.
