Spook Submission
CAW Crew and COD guild,
I'm not sure how to go about this because in fact Ive never done it . In my younger Willy nilly day if I wanted to be a part of a team I would show up act like I had no fear . demonstrate I could throw a football ( that being the American sort for the Aussys reading) and run my skinny ass off and take the occasional spine breaking hit and walk it off  . But this.... this.... is a bit diferent for me
That being said I will tell you about me . I'm from Detroit city . I work in on an assembly line.. making you guessed it cars...well trucks but ... you get it .. i started playing WOW about 3 months ago and I'm like a crack head about it. not that I'm stealing aluminum (say it like an American ...aluuuuuuminum not aluuuuuuminum) to pay for my account but I think about wow like a girl friend more than a game.
When I first started out I wan on a diffrent server . I have an 85 rouge and an 82 mage on venture co. .. people were dicks about dps, aggro and all types of other shit I didn't understand until I practiced and practiced and googled and googled.. I think I have a pretty firm grasp on things now.I didn't make many friends tho because I pretty much just ran instances shared a few laughs got the job done and ... nice to meet ya.. one night stand wow style..:)
The whole point of all of this is ... when I started playing ... I downloaded podcasts about wow to try and learn.. Ctrl alt WoW is by far the best! you guys (and girls) mesh together like the happiest group of friends I  have ever come across. its such a stark contrast and ray of sunshine to my real life I'm not afraid to say I want to be a part of it... I can assure you i will not be scoring an achievement of world ....server.... or even guild first anything ... I wont amaze you with my uncanny tanking skills or make your jaw drop with my astronomical DPSing but I will be a friend and do anything I can to help any of you ...( Im not trying to get too deep here but... you guys might think your just talking about some game.... but your laughter ...excitement ... and happiness helps people forget about other things and helps more than you will probably ever know) ...  in real life my name is Kevin....but in game I go by Spøøky (rouge) or cøletrain (warior) ... my wish is to become a part of COD  but more than that to gain friendships with people I can hear are TRULY good hearted people.

A new day on Azeroth

*Yawn* - Hello everyone at Ctrl-Alt-WoW!  It's been a long day, with the release of Mists of Pandaria.  Voltandra was kind enough to document her first day in this new land, in the attached audio.

Tip for anyone who hasn't yet followed the quest out of Orgrimmar:  the ship to Panderia is an airship.  Up, up and away.  Don't get distracted by the seafaring vessel at the docks.

Well, I've been up since 2:30 this morning, and it's now after 9:00 pm.  Time to sign off and get some sleep.  I hope everyone's enjoying the expansion - there's so much to do!

Question - My Monks Homeless
Hi:

I like hearing about all your different Alts. I don't think I'm an AltAholic yet, but have 2 85's and am working on leveling a Panda to 90 first. No raf levels, just heirlooms and maybe some power leveled dungeons if the grind gets too much.

After I completed the Panda starting zone and got into Org the first thing I did was go to my mailbox and put on the hierloom gear and guild tabard I had sent myself. Now, I'm in the guild Squeaky Toys on Lightbringer and it is a violet tabard with a a white buck toothed rabbit. After I put the gear on I looked like a crazy homeless person who might try to mug people for change outside a liquor store. The Hierloom headpiece is a black wrap that looks kind of cool on a rouge, or even an Orc hunter, but with the combination of the Panda's pot belly with the rabbit face, the ugly grey hierloom shoulders, and then the masked face just looks ridiculous.

With the jeers of the Org residents and guards as I rolled by with Ji, it just rubbed it in harder. Yes, I'm really goofy looking, and scary, but not in a good scary way.

I tried transmogging, but the panda gear which looked appropriate was white and so couldn't. I also am not sure if you can transmog heirlooms. It would be nice for him to not have to wait until post level 85 to get into some gear that looked more monk appropriate.

Have any of you that rolled Pandas thought, or done something about this via transmogging? or, do you know if some monk looking patterns or vendor have been introduced for different leveling stages that could be transmogged?

Tanks,

Marpa the Pandarian Brewmaster, on Lightbringer

Greetings funtastick CaW podcasters Apprillian, Ashayo, El Jeppy and Tedra.

Because of all my overtime from building props last week I was able to take three days three days off from work this week to fully enjoy the launch of Mists of Pandaria. And enjoy it we did, we played for three days straight and it was awesome. The new game is brilliant Blizzard has really outdone themselves this time. The new story line quest chain format is wonderfully  engaging, the NPC characters are fantastic and memorable and the scenery of the Island is breathtaking. Mrs. Necrobob and I live in China and I must say that Blizz hit the look and feel of the Asian architecture, furniture, npc costumes, food look and style, even the clouds look like they were painted by a Chinese master (did you notice the little spiral swirls of mists at the bottom of all the waterfalls?)  Its all right on the money. Everywhere you look in the game you see a landscape worthy of a postcard. The stunning visuals have the look and feel of a real world. Have you seen how the sky goes dark before a storm rolls in and then the weather literally breaks into lightning and rain? I am very impressed.

How about the music? Yes we love that too :) its sweeping and epic without being overpowering and it seems to go along with what ever your toon is doing at the moment. The only odd thing about the music so far is hearing the kazoo being played along with the other instruments during the soundtrack for the Inn. Its weird but kinda nice ;)

We are currently level 86.5 on our main toons and we have all of our other 85's well into the starting area story. Our gear score is skyrocketing with the completion of every quest chain and most of our toons are now exalted with the guild. (much to Mrs. Necrobobs dismay as she did a loremaster run not long ago and wasn't able to get the exalted status with CoD even after doing all 3260 quests and dailies)

Thus far our favorite quests have been the "Scouting Report" story and the "marmot punting for fun and profit". How cool is it to have a sweet furry puntable Marmot in your bag for those moments when you really need to kick something.

This evening we started the Vally of the Four Winds zone but have been briefly thwarted by a surprise sever shutdown for maintenance.

Below are a few screen shots of Mrs. Necrobobs toon Yaniya, who accidentally fished up Old Crafty wile doing her fishing daily and a picture of Skylla on her new exalted guild mount along with some pix of the launch.

Cheers and thanks so much for your splendiferous podcast

Hey gang!
Sorry I haven't written in the last two shows as I have been helping a buddy level an alliance guild that has been stuck on level 5 for a while. We just keep rerolling toons through the starting zones. Lol. We've got the guild to level 10 so far. But hey I've still listened to the last 2 shows with great pleasure and enjoyment. And I love the new recording time as Aprillian diligently gets it out by Monday morning. And what a wonderful way to start the work week!
So I haven't been playing my CoD toons as a result of the above but get this. I logged on to Dizinee and he was in an area that I'm sure I didn't take him too. So the next time I logged off I made an exact mental note of where he was and when I logged on the next day, he was close to the same spot but clearly not the exact spot. So I called up Mogiver and he turned me on to an engineer and I bought a bug microphone from him and before I logged off the next day , I secretly put it in Diz's ponytail band. The next day I retrieved the bug and was astonished on what had been recorded!!! So I've attached the results to this e-mail. Bear in mind it's a tiny little bug and azerothian tech is not what it's cracked up to be so the quality isn't real great but hopefully legible. Anyway love the show as always and loooovvvvvee being in Clan of Darkness. Take care. Donnie.

Hello to Aprillian, Ashayo, Eljeppy, Tedra and the chat room.

Since I last wrote you, my alt ADD has kicked in big time.  My two babies, hunter Tashelle and druid Chemier languish in Orgrimmar, still in their 50's.  I made my first male toon,  a rogue named Taenir.  He is lvl 85, with herbalism and alchemy maxed.  He is a blood elf, so not sure it counts.  He is pretty though.  Still need 13 points in archeology, since even rare solves are only worth one point now.  Yes, I am searching for the elusive Vial of Sands. Created a blood elf paladin named Namba.  My first foray into plate wearing territory.  She is currently level 23.

In view of the plight of the CAW guild on Winterhoof, I created a draenei mage, Inessa.  I was able to make contact with Nevik, and joined the CAW guild.  Inessa is currently lvl 27.  The guild is 96% through lvl 15.  It might be lvl 16 in time for the podcast.

Generally for the Horde, but for the Alliance on Winterhoof,

Duvessae

Hello to everyone at Ctrl-Alt-WoW!

Less than a week until millions of toons swarm the quest-givers in Panderia, with at least one who will insist on standing directly on the NPC while also on their very largest mount with the widest wingspan.  Yay?

I've attached an audio from Voltandra, who is also looking forward to Tuesday.  Before you switch to audio, though, I'd like to give a big shout-out to you, the hosts of Ctrl-Alt-WoW.  Your dedication to producing such a fun, informative and entertaining podcast every week is amazing.  Well done, you!

I hope everyone's having a great week both in and out of game!

Good evening Caw crew and welcome to the night shift. (insert evil laugh here) My major projects at work are all completed so I finally had some time to play a little WoW this week (very big sigh of relief) We've included our audio submission along with a screen shot of my new Warlock toon.

Much love to all our CaW crew homies

From the Necrobob's

Nexbardus

Hello all in CAW and COD.

It has been a long time since I sent in a submission and I wanted to get in an update before Mists came out. The last time I sent something in was before Diablo 3 came out (sorry it has been so long). At that time I was running a lot of LFR Dragon Soul both on my Hunter Nexbardus over on Nevikhoof and on my Shaman Nexbardus on Earthen Ring. I was pretty burned out on LFR at that time so I took a break and began playing Diablo 3 for a bit a soon as it came out. I got a couple characters past normal and one mostly through inferno before I was burnt out on it. So it was back to WoW and leveling up some toons, working on reputations, looking for transmog sets and hunting for rare mounts. A quick Nevikhoof mention - I haven't been spending much time over there lately, I have 3 85's in the guild there but I have mostly only been going over when it is Darkmoon Faire week and I do the profession monthlies.

Over on Earthen Ring, I got my Druid Nexverto leveled to 85 on July 5th. He was level 80 before Cata and he went to 85 doing only 40 quests in Mount Hyjal. The rest of the xp was from the Argent Tourney, Cooking and Fishing dailies and Archaeology. He is also an alchemist so I have been trying for the Vial of the Sands recipe of course but haven't gotten it yet. I did recently get the Qiraji Battle Tank mount though.

The next 85 I got was my Hunter Quinga on August 17th. This was a level 80 toon I transferred from another realm that I used to play on. On August 25th I got my Warlock Nexferox to 85 and on September 19th I got my Mage Nextime to 85, these were a couple new toons I had created back at the beginning of the summer. I have also been working on leveling my Rogue Redherring, she is level 75 right now, good chance I can get her to 80 before Mists but 85 is pretty doubtful.

I spent some of the summer hunting for rare mounts. I was able to get the Blue Proto Drake out of Utgarde Pinnacle, the Raven Lord from Setthek Halls and the Swift White Hawkstrider from Magister's Terrace. I am still trying to get the mount out of Karazhan.

Most recently I have found myself back at a place I thought I would never return to - the Argent Tourney. When mounts went account wide, I discovered that I was missing the 5 mounts that cost 100 champions seal each. I have 2 toons that have the full complement of quests so they each get 10 seals a day, I skip the jousting dailies. And I have 2 toons that can get 5 seals a day while still skipping the jousting. I have already picked up one of the mounts so it wont be long before I have the rest. I did discover that eventhough I have about 7 Argent Gruntlings each one has to get its own Argent Bridle so I might be working on that for Nexbardus. And I just got the Argent Tourney Tabard for Nexbardus which lets you transport to the tourney grounds.

Earlier this week I ran the Theramore's Fall scenario once on Alliance side and once on the Horde side. While not overly exciting I dont think it deserves the panning it has been getting from around the internets. I think the main thing I was expecting was that there would be more interaction with Jaina and that we would see her turn into some kind of badass. I was disappointed that on the horde side you dont even see her, and on the alliance side she really doesn't do much.

I recently got a new computer and a new monitor, which I was really wanting before Mists came out. Each time I upgrade to a new computer it makes WoW feel like a new game. I have been sharing some WoW playing time with my youngest daughter Emma, she is 6 and mostly likes to create new characters, play them for awhile, delete them and make new characters. She did however create a Goblin Warrior named Crazik for me on Earthen Ring, which she has been playing and she has leveled it to about level 26 I think. She is a great reader for her age but I think WoW helps her even more in that regard.

Also, I wanted to thank all of you so much for putting on such an amazing podcast. I look forward to it every week and I know you all put a lot of work into it. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate it.

One last thing before I go. It has been over a month since he was mentioned on the show, and Aprillian talked about him for a couple weeks. But RINGO STARR, RINGO STARR, RINGO STARR = for the people out there who think he was just the drummer for Beatles and hasn't done anything since - go listen to "I Think Therefore I Rock n' Roll" or "Liverpool 8" from a couple recent albums, awesome stuff, nuff said.

Good luck to all in game, cant wait till Mists of Pandaria comes out, peace out - Nexbardus

Hello Ctrl-Alt-WoW crew!

An hour before the show started I whipped up a little audio to send in.

I'll let my audio file do most of the talking for me, but I hope the four of you have lots of this week during the release of Mists of Pandaria. My Battletag is Rho#1846 and any of you or any listeners of the show are more than welcome to add me. I'd love to run scenarios or dungeons with some of you once we have characters hitting level 90.

Have a good weekend!

and Magmafist of Lightbringer-US for the Alliance

Hello CAW Crew!

Well, no audio this week. Sorry. Typing this extremely late...I just heard Aprillian singing during the intro, wowsers. Woot! Morgaine is off at work, so shes messaging me her part from work.

First Morgaine then me.

Morgaine:

Been a pretty tame week for me in WoW: While watching Wren blow through levels like there is no tomorrow, I trudged through quests in Terrokar Forest and Nagrand on my warlock Shadowsleep. I even broke down and tried a few instances with her in hopes of quicker leveling, though I quickly realized how much I hate instances on this particular toon. Her spec just doesn't like instances AT ALL-(I might have to try Demonology on her just for instances).

After begging Wren to run me through Mana Tombs so I could hit 68 and get out of the wretched blah levels, Shadow finally was able to hit Northrend and be happy to not be in Outlands anymore. Now I'm happily trying out Northrend horde side (which I have never done before) and seeing the big quest differences. Besides Shadowsleep, I did some herb/fishing on my alliance rogue 85 Nokomis, as the relaxation of fishing has helped me chill after a few very stressful work days. Other than that, I've mostly just been in awe of Wren's super fast leveling skills and wished I could level as quick as him!

And now my week.

So for those who forgot or didnt know I made myself a goal, a level 85 of every class alliance side. This seemed incredibly daunting as I had ZERO interest in playing a rogue, was terrible at playing a shaman, couldnt figure out how to play my mage. To make it harder, I promised myself I would not use any "Shortcuts" in the leveling process. No RAFing. No Granted Levels, No Scrolls of Ressurections, etc. Though I did use heirlooms, this was moreso because most of my characters have transmogs and I wanted them to look good while leveling. Haha!

Anyways, within the last month, I made the big push, and the final push came this week. I asked Morgaine if it wsa okay for me to not partake in our normal "couple duo" characters. Though on a few occasions I did hop over, such as in her aforementioned runs of mana tombs and sethekk halls and the ilk.

Today at 9:06 EST I dinged 85 on my rogue, finishing them off. Woot!

So, I now have done it 10 alliance 85's,

Human Protection Warrior  - Durant
Human Protection Paladin - Malmuria
Human Blood Death Knight - Undying
Worgen Guardian Druid - Caimbeul
Gnome Fire Mage - Fyer
Gnome Destruction Warlock - Jaderose
Dwarf Elemental/Resto Shaman - Windreaver
Dwarf Beastmaster Hunter - Cadell
Draenei Discipline Priest - Reprieve
Worgen Subtlety Rogue - Alisdair

Was fantastic fun, and now I can say I know pretty much every trick to leveling alliance side.

Now my next goal, finish off a few transmog outfits alliance side, and then start working on it horde side with the wonderful people in Clan of Darkness on Earthen Ring. I will now start rolling alts over on Nevikhoof, since im now full on alts (except monk) of my home server.

Anyways, thank you guys for letting me rant and ramble, you are all hilarious, and kept me entertained during the stretches that morgaine wasnt on.

For the Horde, For the Alliance, For the "Umm babe, my sandstone drakes looks funny mounting carriages in Ulduum".

Wren and Morgaine.

Greetings Aprillian, Ashayo, Eljeppy and Tedra!

Attached is my audio update for this week. I had to record on my phone in the car but at least it was a quiet street I parked on this time so apologies for that and lack of sound effects.

In my audio I mention being interviewed on a show called Realm Maintenance which'll be on his episode 7. The website link for that is:

Rumors abound

Hello again to everyone at Ctrl-Alt-WoW!

The day is fast approaching.  On the day Blizzard announced the release date for Mists of Pandaria, I secured my digital download version and submitted my request for the day off.  I'll be online with the masses at the moment it goes live, and for the rest of the day.  Hopefully, I shall see you all there (as Voltandra would say)!

Speaking of Voltandra, the toons have been talking.  About what, you ask?  Well, you'll have to listen to the attached audio from my favorite blood elf paladin to find out.

Have a great week, everyone!

Sooooopa busy

Hail CaW crew, Apprillian, Ashayo, El Jeppy and Tedra. The Nekro's have been so busy working on the new Polynesian props for the new Sheraton hotel that they haven't played wow in almost two weeks. (last week Mr. Nekro logged over 81 hours at work) And yes friends two weeks is indeed a record breaking absence from our favorite game.

The hotel opens on the 20th of September and we intend to take a few days off to rest up from our long hours of creating and building cool stuff. Our small holiday might just fall somewhere near the launch date for Mists of Panderia but I assure you that is a total coincidence.

Mrs. Nekro and I look forward to seeing all our friend in game very soon and we promise to catch up on our audio submissions as well.

Love and miss you all and thanks so very very much for your awesome podcast.

Rigamorty Update

Hi Aprillian, Ashayo, Eljeppy and Tedra!

Apologies for no audio this week, Friday when I normally would have recorded was a bit chaotic and I just didn't get the chance to record anything. I did make it into Wow a couple of times this week still learning my way around 5.0.4 and struggling with re-learning and changing specs. For example, I'm currently looking at changing my main Pryderic, a frost mage (image of him below) over to Fire spec, simply as an alternative to Arcane and for running dungeons.

That's about all I've been up to. I'm certainly feeling a bit of the lull before MOP hits.

Cheers,

Rigarmorty

Submission for Ep 286

Hello CAW Sweeties,

Hope you all have had an fantastic week. It's that time again ... ready, steady, go  /weeeee group huggles

Aww that is so much better :D

Sorry no audio this week - Spring has hit here with a vengeance and unfortunately sinus has hit me with full force and my voice sounds like a foghorn - completely unattractive trust me lol

Hopefully will be much better and have one for you next week :)

Well what have I been up to ingame?

Thursday night we went and did OS 3D 25m - grats on Wingy for winning the mount. Then we went down to Onyxia's Lair and managed to do it in 25man - got the achievements :-
More Dots! (25 player) and She Deep Breaths More (25 player) - no mount dropped but was great fun! Thank you to all those that came along.

Also I have a confession ... yes ... I have been Digging!!! Lots of Digging!!

I've managed to get my Priest Attil's Archaeology from 415 to 525 and am hunting Tol'vir sites for the Canopic Jars! Yes the recipe will be mine ... one day ... hopefully!!

I have solved both the Fossilized Raptor Mount and Fossilized Hatchling this week however with the account-wide mounts and pets can learn neither as I already have the mount learnt from Leetar and as I have an over abundance of pets in my pet journal I cannot learn the
Hatchling at the moment :(
Am eagerly awaiting MoP just so I can sort my pets out lol

Anyway I'm keeping this email short and sweet again this week.

Have a great show tonight!

Have a wonderful week.

Lots of love and big hugs

Leeta xoxo

PS - This coming week should be very exciting - The Battle of Theramore will launch after maintenance. Cannot wait to see what happens!
Toodles hugs xoxo

For the grind!
G'day Aprillian, Ashayo, Jeppy & Tedra,

I just finished listening to episode #285 and thought it was high time I wrote you again.
My undead rogue Clogalis from Thaurissan has been picking away at his Insane in the Membrane feat of strength. http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=2336/insane-in-the-membrane
It requires earning exalted reputation with Booty Bay, Ratchet, Gadgetzan, Everlook, Darkmoon Faire, Ravenholdt and earning honored reputation with the Bloodsail Bucaneers.
The longest grind was pick pocketing roughly 1,400 lock boxes for ravenholdt rep. After completing all the other faction rep requirements it was off to the dark moon faire isle for few days of dailies to complete the achievement. With my finger poised above the screen capture key I turned in the last quest and ... nothing. Le sigh.
I'm not sure why it wasn't awarded as I did obtain all the requirements so I opened a ticket and we'll see what the outcome is.
The other day when I was online the guild was pretty quiet, no doubt due to the time zones, but Mourtisha was online and we had a great conversation. The friendly natured people within Clan of Darkness make you feel so welcome, I'm glad to a part of it.
All the new changes which came with 5.0.4 has resulted in many complaints in game but I quite enjoy the changes. It only takes a short while to go over your class, spec and abilities, and in most situations there are new cool abilities which make the game fun.
Bye for now,

Clogalis

Momoments - all of your talent specs are us!

Hello everyone!
hope you are doing well.
I am doing my best to not melt away as it is over 100 degrees in Southern California and I dont know why!

I did log in a few times into this game of ours this week but only to find out (as I forgot and i dont know why) that talents were reset...wait not only reset! We have all new talents and things.  I completely forgot this was happening and did not know what was happening.  One by one on each character I started looking at talents, reading, wondering which one to go with, being all confused...it was actually fun.  It is different than before but I do semi-understand why they have done this.  I have not referenced any websites for talents but I may have to down the line.  After I set the talent points and each player's UI, I realized I have to set scrolls too! for the love of Thrall!  Oh and dont forget, I do have two accounts, yes only two and close to 60+ characters.  In my moobness if saw there are some new scrolls I need to go learn on my main characters...I probably have 8 to 10 main characters, is that ok?!

AND THAN!! I was wondering if anyone is able to help me out, help a moob, as I may be the only person that does not understant transmogrification or however it is spelled and pronounced.  I have looked online and I dont get it?!
what is it?! why? who? When!?
So please help a Mo out, please!!!

Hope everyone is having fun and stay cool.

For the help a mo foundation!
